What is the difference between Pharmaton® Caplets and Pharmaton® Capsules? |

Both Pharmaton® Caplets and Pharmaton® Capsules contain essentially the similar combination of ingredients. The additional ingredient in the Caplets is selenium, an essential trace element which helps to protect cells against oxidative damage. The other difference is in the presentation - Pharmaton® Caplets are in the tablet form and packed in blisters, while Pharmaton® Capsules are in softgel form and packed in amber glass bottles. |

What is Standardized Ginseng Extract G115? |
|

G115 is the name given specifically to the standardized extract from the Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer root, which was developed by Pharmaton® SA of Switzerland in 1960. G115 has been standardized on 8 important ginsenosides, and extensively studied in clinical trials over the last 40 years. It is considered the “gold standard” in ginseng extracts. |

What does "standardized" mean? |
|
|

|
Since herbs derive from nature, the amount of active ingredients within them can differ from plant to plant. If the active ingredients in a particular herb have been identified, it is then possible to quantify and adjust them so that their amounts in each dose remain consistent at all times. This is the basis of standardization. However a particular herb can be standardized in many different ways, hence different standardized extracts have different profiles and are not the same. |
